S.H. v. Department of Children and Family Services, 955 So.2d 610 (Fla. 5th DCA 2007)
We will celebrate our third annual Guardian ad Litem Day on Wednesday, March 21st at the Capitol Building in Tallahassee. Volunteers, not-for-profit members and staff will travel from around the state as a unified voice to speak with Legislators about the Program, learn about the legislative process and advocate for the best interests of children on a statewide level. A luncheon reception honoring the work of guardians ad litem and their supporters will be held at noon on the 22nd floor of the Capitol. Also at the luncheon, the Guardian ad Litem Association will present its annual Legislative Voice for Children Award. Participation by guardians ad litem who advocate for children every day provides a critical perspective to the Legislature. This year's theme is "Be a Powerful Voice in a Child's Life," we hope you will add your voice and look forward to seeing you in Tallahassee.
